PROFILE

Takenori HIROE graduated from Gifu University with a degree in textile engineering in 1971. Immediately after graduation, he began working in research and development at Japan Vilene Company, Ltd in Tokyo. He qualified as a patent attorney in 1978, and in 1979 he returned to Gifu to open his practice.
In honor of Mr. Hiroe's longtime services, the emperor of Japan awarded him with a Japan Yellow Ribbon Medal of Merit in June 2011, personally recommended by the JPO Commissioner. Mr. Hiroe is also a current member on the Japanese Patent Attorneys Association's copyright committee and the anti-infringement committee against imported goods in violation of the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry's Unfair Competition Prevention Law.
