Our chairman Takenori Hiroe introduced a copyright infringement suit in which the plaintiff sued the defendant for stealing the plaintiff’s artwork posted on Twitter and posting it on the defendant’s website without permission. Taking the decision made by the Tokyo district court in this matter as an example, Mr. Hiroe explained how photos or artworks posted on social media such as Twitter and Facebook are treated by the Copyright Law.
