In next month’s lecture, patent attorney Masanori Hiroe will give a lecture regarding requirements of trademark registration taking as an example a litigation filed by Augusta National, Inc., known for holding the Masters Golf Tournament, against Konami Holdings, Co., Ltd., a Japanese leading company in the digital entertainment and the sports club business and the owner of the trademark “Konami Sports Club Masters” which consists of two known trademarks, namely, “Konami Sports Club” and “Masters.”
